It took a global pandemic to get this beer into cans. Despite it being the most requested beer we’ve ever brewed.

When we got caught out with a large amount of beer in tank destined for kegs and COVID-19 restrictions hit we had to move quickly. Truth be told we were planning to release Cali Haze into cans in the spring of 2020 anyway, but luckily our graphic designer Dom had been working on the label already.

Cali Haze isn’t a New England style beer. Never has been and never will. It’s an Aussie Pale ale, using ale yeast and a blend of Tasmanian and American hops. It’s got oats and wheat to soften it out, as we wanted a smashable mouthfeel and a beer for hot summers and long nights.

We think it’s a big deal to add a beer to our core range and while we are still gypsy brewing it’s a pretty mammoth thing to pull off. But we know how much you all love Cali Haze, so it’s here to stay.

Now if we could just convince Tassie summers to last forever too…
