Saying G’day Australia

Saying G’day Australia - words by Klimt (Founder)

We have been wanting to send beer to all our Mainland mates for a long time now, but to be honest it’s never made sense.  We struggle to keep up with demand in Tasmania still, being a gypsy brewer, and if we had a dollar for every time someone said that’s “a good problem to have” we would…..well we would probably stop complaining and have lots of dollars.

Launching Strata IPA in cans during COVID lock downs was a real turning point for us.  Not only did our locals love having one of our big beers in cans, but we started getting a lot more requests for Mainland care packages, for our online store to open and to do more of our epic big limited beers that we normally only keg.

The only problem now.  How to follow up Strata IPA.

Enter Mosaic hops from Yakima Chief.

We took the malt base of our Single Hop IPA series and ramped up the Mosaic pellets and Cryo.  We’ve used modern hopping techniques on a clean ale yeast base and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

The beer is saturated with mosaic character, giving off dank hop candy, sticky resin and a dry lingering bitterness that coats your palate and demands you take another sip.

We aren’t going to talk about how we are bringing back clear, dank and bitter IPAs because they never left.  This beer is who we are as brewers and there was no better way to introduce ourselves to those in Australia who haven’t tried out beers yet.

As the can says. That’s a lot of rambling to say “G’day Australia”.
